Hi there, thank you for signing up to the trial run of Spectacles! We're glad to have you. The trial that you're participating in will run from Friday, July 23rd to Friday, August 13th, the date that we hope to launch Spectacles publicly. Your feedback over the next three weeks will be crucial to the improvement of this project, as we prepare to launch to a wider audience. To that end, make sure to read to the bottom and fill out the survey below.
The last thing we want to do in this trial period is guide you through Spectacles too much. We want you to explore our content and our platforms without being told how to do so, without having your outlook on the project shaped by our own preconceptions of what it is. It's important that we know how Spectacles looks from the customer's side. That means we hope you tell us how you've interacted with the various types of content and the platforms through which we're distributing it. It also means that while we would love it if you read every single article and listened to every single podcast episode, you shouldn't be afraid to tell us if there are aspects of our content that you aren't consuming, and why. We need to know what works and what doesn't, and we can't do that without the honest feedback of our testers.
It's also important that, for now, you refrain from reposting our articles on social media or sending the link to our website to people you know. We do hope that once we launch you will, if you've enjoyed your experience during the trial, tell just about everyone you know about what we're doing here at Spectacles, but for the moment we want to keep the unfinished product private. In the meantime, if you are on Twitter, we'd love to have you follow our account, @SpectaclesMedia (or Facebook @SpectaclesNews), and tell us what you think of our social media content, which we will be experimenting with during the trial run.
Finally, as part of the trial run, we're trying to collect some basic information about all our trial subscribers at the beginning, middle, and end of the run. This will help us to learn valuable feedback from you and improve our content before our public launch. For now, all we ask is that you fill out the short form attached below, if that isn't too much trouble.
